Have You Told God?

Psalm 66:17-20

New International Version (NIV)

I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue.
If I had cherished sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened;

 but God has surely listened
and has heard my prayer.
Praise be to God,
who has not rejected my prayer
or withheld his love from me!

For Meditation

Many times, we forget that our Father in heaven is waiting to talk with us over every situation in our life. We forget He is ready to help us, and that He is the only One who can help us. That is the essence of Hebrews 4:15-16 – the Father’s call to His children to come and be blessed.

  1. What, then, is on your mind today? What is your source of worry this morning?
  2. Are your financial walls collapsing around you? Does your future look bleak at this time?
  3. Is it a job need or a situation in the office that is eating you up? Could it be your business in distress?
  4. What is the situation on the home front? Is your marriage on the rocks? Is it about the children, or have your in-laws become obsessively intrusive? How do you feel right now?
  5. Do you want to talk about it? Why not cry to your Father upstairs before you open your mouth to anybody else (Ps. 5:3; 66:17-20)?

I pray you will remember that you have a merciful and compassionate Father who will never withhold His love from you (Ps. 66:20). He is gracious and kind, and will address your concerns with all the seriousness and fairness they deserve.

So: May you receive the peace of God that transcends understanding; and may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, suffice for every situation in your life, amen!

Praise Him this morning!

 Shalom
