Isaiah 6:1
New International Version (NIV)
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.
For Meditation
With all that is going on in Christendom these days, a fresh breeze of God’s glory is what we need to bring us down on our knees, repenting and rededicating ourselves to Him the way Isaiah did (Isa. 6:1-13).
- But, do you remember that the prophet Isaiah saw the glory of God only when the leprous king Uzziah died (Is. 6:1)? What does it say about sin?
- Do you also know that until something gives way in your life, you may not see the glory of God that you may be craving for?
- So, are you ready to let something die in your life for a grand opportunity to see “the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne?”
- Are you willing to do some planting? Is it not a difficult and hard work for the farmer, but with great expectation of a harvest?
- As a spiritual person, do you know that you too have some sowing to do in anticipation of a great harvest in your life?
- Do you know that the new growth and refreshing times you crave will come in your life only when your old self dies in the ground?
- Does it matter what it is you give away? Of what worth is your old character to you in Christ anyway?
- So, are you willing to trade the“King Uzziah” in your life for a refreshing experience of the glory of God?
- The real question then is, how desirous are you for a personal encounter with the Lord? How strong is your appetite for a new experience with Christ?
- Do you long for a new wave of spiritual revival in your life, home, church, and community?
- Are you willing to sacrifice your time and sleep for the sake of serious intercessory prayer and a touch of the freshness of the Holy Spirit?
I pray you’re ready for a fresh encounter with the Spirit’s healing, anointing, and refreshing time. He waits for you to create the conducive environment and attitude for His move on your life.
Sow, then, to the Spirit and experience the spiritual vibrancy you crave.
To Him be glory today and forever in Christ Jesus, amen!
Shalom
