The Lord Has Your Back!

Zechariah 3:2

New Living Translation (NLT)

And the Lord said to Satan, “I, the Lord, reject your accusations, Satan. Yes, the Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you. This man is like a burning stick that has been snatched from the fire.”

For Meditation

  1. Do people hate you because of your integrity?
  2. Are you worried about their accusations? Why?
  3. Is it because of how others may perceive you because of your integrity?
  4. What does it matter? Isn’t God’s testimony about you more important (Job 1:1)?
  5. Doesn’t God know that Satan is your real accuser (Rev. 12:10)?
  6. Are you ignorant of His schemes (2 Cor. 2:11)?
  7. Does he not design them to steal your joy and to destroy your testimony (Jn. 10:10a)?
  8. Hasn’t God rejected Satan’s accusations because you’re His chosen in Christ Jesus (Zech. 3:2; 1Pt. 1:2)?
  9. So, why are you worried? Whose opinion should concern you?
  10. “Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen” (Rm. 8:33)?
  11. Have you forgotten that, “There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (8:1)?
  12. Maybe you need to hear what God said to Satan’s accusations against Joshua, the high priest: “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?” (Zech. 3:2).
  13. Are you not a priest of God (1 Pt. 2:9)?
  14. What happened to the accusations the administrators and satraps brought against Daniel (Dan. 6:4)?
  15. Why, then, have your accusers gotten to you, when Jesus, the righteous One, is your Advocate before the Father (1 Jn. 2:1)?
  16. Don’t you think you should concern yourself with maintaining your integrity rather than worrying about your accusers?

I pray your accusers don’t find anything against you when they scrutinize your life, because you are “trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent” (Dan. 6:4)?

May God give you grace to overcome the irritants in your life; and may you keep your composure amid extreme provocation by the accusing tongues around you.

Continue in what you always do to honor Christ, just as Daniel did and brought glory to God (Dan. 6:10).

May the peace of God rest upon you.

Shalom
