When God is on Your Case

Acts 12:10

New International Version (NIV)

They passed the first and second guards and came to the iron gate leading to the city. It opened for them by itself, and they went through it. When they had walked the length of one street, suddenly the angel left him.

For Meditation

When God is on your case, nothing can stop you. No hindrance is strong enough to hold you back. As happened to Peter, every chain on your hands and feet falls off when His angel strikes you on the side to wake you up, get you dressed up, and leads you out of your dungeon (Acts 12:7-8). It will be like a vision to you when reality hits you right in the face (9). Every door of opposition will swing open when He leads you out. God will bring you out of that cell where they have kept you for the day of persecution and disgrace, or possible death. Your deliverance will break on you so suddenly that you will have to figure out what to do with your life, if you have not planned it.

So, don’t sit there moaning over your situation or predicament. Don’t sing your own dirge. Celebrate Jesus and praise Him in the midnight hour in that dungeon life has you locked up in (Acts 16:25). For God is on your case. He has you there for a reason (27-34).

If it takes an earthquake to break you loose from the dungeon, God will cause the mightiest to shake the foundation of the building and lose your chains (26). If it takes an angel to come down for your rescue, the best of them will be dispatched. Just trust Jesus in your situation and wait patiently for His deliverance.

But while you wait, don’t be bitter. Don’t plananybody’s downfall. Don’t wish their failure or death. Keep your heart pure.Keep it as Jesus did through His passion. For, He has declared victory for youon the cross already. Even then, there must be two more nights of darkness inthe grave before His resurrection light dawns, and His power lifts you out ofthe grave. The third day is always your day of the victory parade for the displayof God’s glory in your life.
You will be singing: “Come and see what the Lord hasdone for me.”
God bless you.

Shalom
