I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Psalm 121:1-2

Where is the first place you turn for solace when things become messy in your life? When a tempest rage in your life, and the billows roll around you; to whom do you turn instinctively for help?

How secure is that place? Will you find peace – the inner tranquility that transcends understanding – for your soul there?

Like the Psalmist, alwayslift your eyes to the Lord Most High – the Maker of heaven and earth; for that’s where your safety and comfort come from (Ps. 121:1-2). His presence is the most secure place to be in any circumstance.

Don’t look around in fear. Don’t allow worry to fix your eyes on your pitiful self. Have faith in Christ. Look up to Him always and experience His perfect protection from all harm.
