Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Your Encouragement

May you forget the past and strain toward what Christ has marked out for you this year with great anticipation.

May you look ahead and see the crown of righteousness on the golden dais in heaven, with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ standing and ready to award it to you, and be motivated to press on toward the finishing line to receive it, despite the constraints and rigors of this life; and may the Holy Spirit enable you all the grace you need to endure and prevail.

May He strengthen you today, and through the weekend, to live above the world for the Father’s glory in Christ Jesus, amen!
