For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Psalm 139:13-14
For Meditation
Why is it so difficult for us to believe what God has said? Why so challenging to see ourselves the way God sees us? Is it a lack of faith in Him, or more of the insecurities of our lives? Both have their roots sunk deeply into our view of God and our perception of how He works. We may challenge this proposition, but we still must confront it if we seek to overcome this tragedy. Fresh air will begin to blow around us when we approach Him with childish faith.
God is who He is. He is self-existent and Sovereign Ruler of all creation. He means what He says. He is motivated by love, intending the best for us. He never changes nor disappoints. People’s opinion does not change His opinion about us. He waits to lift the one drowning in self-pity if only they will look up to Him to take His hand.
By divine inspiration, David establishes the truths about God’s sovereign rule over the human reproductive process, including yours. (Ps. 139:13-14).
God says He created the complexities of your inner being. Just believe that. He says He put you together in your mother’s womb. Believe that He is the best designer and architect you will ever know. He says He imbued you with such fearsome power and wonderful abilities that the spiritual world marvel at your nature. Apprehend that wonderful fact and step out today with confidence and boldness.
So, praise Him this morning. Marvel at His craftsmanship and grace concerning you. See yourself through this divine spectrum of truth and be liberated to soar to the greatest heights for His glory.
Shalom, and good morning.
