And when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So, for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

Your Encouragement –

I have just been reminded that the word, Christian, is not a badge to buy from the church to wear on my chest. Neither is it just a term to use to introduce myself everywhere I go. It is more than that.

 It should be an observation of the people in my sphere of influence, because of the resemblance my life has after Jesus. This is how the word came into existence in Antioch (Acts 11:26). It is an acknowledgment and a commendation more than anything else.

So, my quest today is to check myself before the Lord to see whether people will call me a Christian without knowing I am a Pastor or not and whether my Lord will affirm their claim.

I do not know about you, but I pray the Lord to let my assessment have integrity before Him.
