Unabandoned

Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.

Psalms 9:10

Trust in the Lord, for you know Him, not casually, but as Him who is your Lord and Savior. He is “a refuge for the oppressed, [and] a stronghold in times of trouble” (Ps. 9:9-10). His name is Jesus Christ, your compassionate God. At the mention of that name, every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Phil. 2:10).

However, you must serve Him with all your heart.

As David told his son Solomon, “Acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you” (1 Chron. 28:9) [Emphasis mine.]

Again, the Lord told King Asa of Judah, “Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you when you are with Him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you” (1 Chron. 15:2). [Emphasis, mine]

So, call on Him in your daily prayers, and He will hear you. He will not abandon you.

Have a blessed Monday, and a new week.
