It’s Not Too Late For You

“How kind the Lord is!” she exclaimed. “He has taken away my disgrace of having no children.”

Luke 1:25

To Light Your Day

You have been waiting on God for years in anticipation of something special. However, your desire has yet to be fulfilled, and you are losing hope. You are beginning to think it will never happen and are ready to give up. Remember that it is not too late for you.

Consider Elizabeth, the wife of Zechariah. She was “well advanced in years” (Luke 1:18), but without children. Undoubtedly, they had prayed for a child. However, it didn’t happen in their prime ages. But God visited them in their old age. What a surprise and joy!

Elizabeth might have thought it was too late for her to have a child, but God didn’t. She may have stopped praying for a child, but God had not forgotten their request. They continued to trust Him. In His time, God surprised them with no ordinary baby, but John, the forerunner of Jesus Christ (17).

It is never too late for you to receive a miracle from God. He has heard your heart’s cry for that miracle in your life, home, marriage, business, ministry, or in the life of your child. He can give you more than you can ask or imagine (Eph. 3:20). As the angel told Mary, “For nothing is impossible with God” (Luke 1:37).

So, if you are getting dispirited waiting for God’s response to your prayer, remember Zechariah and Elizabeth. It was never too late for them, and it is never too late for you. Just trust Him, remain faithful, and obedient. Trust God to be God in your life.

Shalom, and good morning.
