Be Still and …

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

Psalm 46:1-3

For Meditation

The world is in turmoil and uproar. Distress and uncertainty have invaded almost every home and community. Social unrest, street protests, political upheavals, economic challenges have become the world order these days. And worse of all, the coronavirus pandemic has proved more stubborn than anybody would have thought.

Today, I want to encourage you with the message and promises of Psalm 46. It speaks to such a time like this and brings God near you for comfort, encouragement, and strength.

Though all these things abound, God is your refuge. Never forget that! He is always present to help you at this time of need (1-3).

So, do not be afraid. God says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (v.10)

The Lord Almighty is with you in every situation. “The God of Jacob is your fortress” (v.11).

Pray through this Psalm and receive His peace that surpasses all understanding to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:7). Amen!
