Our God who Knows You and is with You.

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.

Psalm 139:1-19, 23-24

For Meditation

As we go through this thanksgiving week, reflecting on our God, His nature, character, and His goodness, they remind me about how blessed we are and why we have to rejoice more and be thankful every day.

Today, we focus on David’s Psalm that exalts God for His absolute knowledge (omniscience) and everywhere presence (omnipresence) with us. In them, we see our blessings and cause to rejoice.

— God knows you too well, and that should comfort you —

— God understands you more than you can fathom —

— God’s presence is everywhere you can flee to; it is so amazing —

— Nothing can hinder God from getting to you when in trouble anywhere —

— That is why He can reach into the grave and raise you to eternal life —

— He guides you, upholds you, and reveals your motives for godly adjustment —

— God created your inmost being. He intricately crafted you through conception to birth —

— You are extraordinary, one of a kind; a brand of your own, and unique in every way —

— If that does not incite praise from your heart, I don’t know if you are alive today —

— His thoughts about you are so loving and caring; His fellowship, so rich and satisfying —

— So, why don’t you join David by pleading with God to continue examining you and renewing you in His mercy and grace?

— Why don’t you thank God for leading you on the narrow way to everlasting life?

Somebody shout, “Hallelujah!”
