For Meditation
— This is the crème de la crème – the sovereignty of God —
— Our God is Sovereign —
— The Akan people of Ghana have the best rendering of the word Sovereign that I know of —
— “Odeneho” – literally, someone who owns himself —
— That is who our God is – He owns Himself and does not depend on anybody or spirit for His existence. He is self-existent —
— But more than that. God is the Supreme Ruler of the entire universe —
— Paul has it right in Colossians 1:15-17, talking about the supremacy of Christ —

“The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”

— That is who our God is: The Absolute Potentate, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, who created all things, and is all and in all —
— He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End –
— Who is like our God? —
— He is incomparable, unsurpassable, dwelling in perpetual light that no one has seen or can see —
— Need I say more?
— Just worship Him, somebody! —
— And be thankful you are His child —
