Your Encouragement

Jesus is in the house of Jairus to raise his dead daughter. The gathered crowd irritates Him. He orders them out of the house, goes into the room, and wakes the little girl back to life!

Sometimes, your sympathizers could be the problem to matters of faith. The crowd that gathered in the house of Jairus was a pack of sympathizing, but unbelieving, mourners. They did not believe what Jesus said about the situation of the girl (24). They mocked Jesus because they had no faith in Him. Those sympathizers were nothing more than a source of discouragement, which was detrimental to Jairus’s faith. He trusted Jesus and had defied all odds to get Him. Nothing should stand in the way of his blessing. Sometimes, that is what our sympathizers can do to our faith.

So, what are the negative vibes in your life? Who are the people in your circle of friends who have no faith in Christ—particularly, those who profess faith in Christ but cannot trust Him for any extraordinary thing, great or small? They are not helpful to your faith, my friend.

Maybe it is time to get them out of your life and allow the Lord to do what He came to your house to do—to bring life back to your dead situation.
