Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So, don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Matthew 10:29-31
Your Encouragement
What comforting words! What assurance of our Father in heaven’s knowledge, concern, care, and protection for us!
There are too many hot spots around today. Almost everybody is angry. Minor problems that least irritated yesterday have become serious contentions in homes, streets, friendships, workplaces, politics, and even in the church.
In Senegal now, we are witnessing such violent demonstrations I have never seen before. I have not seen such light traffic in Dakar like I did today for the longest time. I peeked through my window shades yesterday morning to see the usual bumper-to-bumper traffic around the Hann Mariste Rond Point at seven. But there was none. The street was virtually empty. Dakar was almost on lockdown because of the protests and expected rioting in the city. Fear, terror, and uncertainty now rule over Dakar.
The situation may be different where you are. Yet the same fear grips us all. However, we take consolation from the word of God that assures His children of His perfect protection (Isaiah 41:10).
So, take Christ at His word this morning.
— Do not be afraid of any situation.
— You are more precious to your Father in heaven than you ever knew.
— He has you covered twenty-four-seven!
— He will protect and care for you.
— Be strong, therefore, in the power of the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 1:7) and His promise to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).
Please pray for Senegal.
Shalom, and good morning.
