Psalm 37:23

The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
    He delights in every detail of their lives.

For Encouragement

Do you sometimes feel that God is far away and not showing you what to do? Are you sure He is not in your affairs, directing and talking to you, really—you, a child of God, walking in godliness (Psalm 37:23)?

Consider with me some truths from this holy scripture for the day.

• The Father is actively working in your situation, even though you may not see or sense it.
• God sees, hears, and understands your heart’s cry and the pain you feel. It would be entirely out of His character not to care.
• Again, it would not be Him to hide or not want to reveal His plans for your life to you when you sincerely seek them (cf. Jeremiah 29:11-13).
• God will do everything to show you His will and help you walk in it if you seek it with all your heart (Deuteronomy 4:29).
• But know this as well. God knows enough of you to reveal His will to you in relevant portions, and timely too. It is because that is the way to teach you genuine, abiding faith. 

So, trust the Lord, for every experience with Him is training grounds for your faith. He releases enough light to light your path today, as you trust Him for tomorrow (Matthew 6:34).
