Romans 12:1-2

New International Version

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

For Meditation

Living as a holy sacrifice on the altar of God in response to all He has done for you—that is the proper and acceptable way for you to worship God through Christ Jesus (Romans 12:1).

How then can you, a true child of God, conform any longer to the practices and behaviors of this wicked world? Why is it difficult for you to allow the Holy Spirit to transform your life by renewing your mind about every issue of life? What should happen when your traditions and growing experiences come against the word of God?

Do this, and you will see how your perspective will change from worldly (temporal) to heavenly (eternal) settings (Colossians 3:1-3).
