Isaiah 53:2-3
New International Version (NIV)
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him. He was was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.
For Encouragement
This prophesy still stands before us today as it did during Jesus’s time. We know their response and the consequences it brought upon them.
How about you?
As we walk with Him to Calvary this Lent – a time of repentance and renewal – what is your response?
Do you still see no beauty or majesty to attract Him to you – nothing to desire in Jesus Christ? Doesn’t His sorrow over your sins that sent Him to the cross mean anything to you? Will you continue to despise and reject Him as Savior and Lord of your life?
Don’t! For “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone” (Psalm 118:22).
Shalom and good morning.
