Jeremiah 4:19
New Living Translation (NLT)
My heart, my heart—I writhe in pain!
My heart pounds within me! I cannot be still.
For I have heard the blast of enemy trumpets
and the roar of their battle cries.
Your Encouragement
What is the condition of your heart this morning? Is there any anguish that has kept you awake all night? What report have you heard?
Like Jeremiah, you may have heard the sound that signals impending danger (Jeremiah 4:19).
The world is full of them these days.
In times like this, you have a Savior to run to for cover—Jesus, your Mighty Deliverer.
As Solomon declares, “The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Prov. 18:10).
Run to Him and take cover in Him. Uphold His name in every circumstance and see how His peace floods your heart. That is what you need, my brother and sister—rest in Jesus.
May the grace of God rest upon you for visibility and stability in Christ.
Shalom, and good morning.
