Get the Negative Vibe Out

Your Encouragement

Jesus goes into the house of Jairus to raise his dead daughter. The gathered crowd irritates Him, so He orders them out of the house (Matthew 9:24). He goes into the room and commands the little girl back to life. Why did Jesus send the mourners out?

Sometimes, your sympathizers could be a problem for your faith. The crowd at Jairus’ house was a pack of unbelieving mourners who did not believe what Jesus said about the girl. They mocked Him, but Jairus had faith in Him and defied all odds to get to Him.

Even when the report came from his house that his daughter was dead, Jairus believed Jesus and patiently waited while Jesus talked to the woman with the woman who was subject to bleeding for twelve years to go home with him (Mk. 5:35-36). Nothing was going to stop his blessings.

So, get the negative vibe out of your life — the people who have no faith in Christ. Give room for the Lord to do what He came to do—to change your dead situation today. Have time with Him alone and away from the noise. Listen keenly for His quiet, small voice and obey whatever He tells you.

May His joy embrace you and give you His strength this weekend as you experience His power at work in your life and that of your family.
