Living Sacrificed

Romans 12:1-2

New International Version

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

For Meditation

Living as a holy sacrifice on the altar of God in response to all He has done for us is the proper and acceptable way to worship Him through Christ Jesus (Romans 12:1).

It demands that, as true children of God, we do not conform any longer to the practices and behaviors of this wicked world. Allowing the Holy Spirit to use God’s word to transform our lives by renewing our minds about every life issue is not as difficult as we think. It’s simple.

When your traditions and growing up experiences come against the word of God, let them give way to the glory of God! It doesn’t matter how dear they touch your heart. Everything falls at the feet of Jesus, just as at His name, every knee should bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth (Phil. 2:10). For every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father (11). Amen!

This is Discipleship 101. Live this way, and you will see how your perspectives for life will change from worldly to heavenly settings (Colossians 3:1-3). And that, my friend, is the winning ticket for 2025.

Think about it.

Shalom and a pleasant weekend.

Pray with Me

Father, thank you for who you are and all you have done for me in Jesus Christ. Please help me by your Spirit to offer myself to you as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to you. Empty me, Lord, and fill me with your Spirit to lead me in every way. I pray this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, amen.
