Romans 12:1-2
New International Version
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
For Meditation
To live as one sacrificed to God in response to His mercy, as displayed in our salvation, is the proper and acceptable way to worship Him through Christ Jesus (Romans 12:1).
It demands that, as true children of God, we do not conform any longer to the practices and behaviors of this wicked world. Giving ourselves to the transforming power of God working in us through His word is not as difficult as we think. It becomes achievable and straightforward when we recognize it is the work of the Holy Spirit and submit to His Lordship and leading.
When our traditions and childhood experiences come into conflict with the word of God, we forsake them and yield them to the glory of God. It does not matter how dear they touch our hearts. Everything falls at the feet of Jesus, just as every knee should bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth (Phil. 2:10). For every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father (11). Amen!
As you begin this week, do this, and you will see how your perspective on life changes from worldly to heavenly settings (Colossians 3:1-3). And that, my friend, is the winning ticket for the second half of 2025.
Think about it.
Shalom, and have a pleasant week.
Pray with Me
We yield to you in response to your ability to transform our lives so that they align with your will in all situations. In our weakness, let your strength lift me to live for your honor. For Christ’s sake, amen.
