Psalm 136:2-3, 26
New King James Version
Oh, give thanks to the Lord,
for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
Oh, give thanks to the God of gods!
For His mercy endures forever.
Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!
For His mercy endures forever …
Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven!
For His mercy endures forever.
For Encouragement
Aren’t you blessed this morning?
You are breathing, aren’t you?
You can move your limbs—walk, lift things, and even run.
You can hear your favorite music and dance to the beat. Maybe you are a little offbeat! So what?
You can taste and enjoy your food with pleasure. Some with the best of the sumptuous meal they cannot enjoy—food fit for kings, set before them. So, who is better?
You have a good health report, and if you don’t, you have the greatest Physician on your case—Dr. Jesus. Can you trust Him?
You still have a bank account, regardless of the balance, and the bank still recognizes you as a treasured client, don’t they?
Your children and grandchildren have surrounded you at the meal table on special days, and you cannot have enough of them, even when they can irritate. Are you not blessed?
Above all, you can look forward to entering glory with optimism and certainty—the day heaven will open to receive you.
So, why can’t you give thanks to God Almighty for His goodness? Has His faithfulness ever failed you? How could it when He is unchanging? He is the God of gods and Lord of lords, who deserves your thanks (Psa. 136:1-3, 26). Praise Him this morning and thank Him for all His goodness and mercies He has favored you with every day till the end of the month. He will usher you into the new month, by His grace, and cause His countenance to rest upon you every day of November, too.
However, don’t forget to touch someone with your joy today and make their day a blessing from the Lord, too!
Happy October ending and a blessed New month ahead, loaded with every possibility in Christ Jesus, our Lord. Amen!
Shalom
