Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
Psalm 30:5
In all our trials and suffering, God is working for our restoration and comfort.
Your pain will not last forever. It checked into your hotel with all its baggage only for a short stay. As overwhelming as it may be, as intimidating and fearful as it looks, its stay with you is timed. You may be weeping from all the challenges and sorrows it has brought you. Your situation may feel impregnable and crushing. But remember who checked this rogue situation into your life. He holds time and duration in His sovereign hands. Take a good look at the check-in register. Observe the departure date. It is there!
I have news for you. Your struggle with that situation is momentary because night is exhaustible. The dark clouds will certainly roll away. The sun will rise, and you will find room 101 empty. Your fearful guest will be gone as quickly as it came in with all its troubles and discomfort. As Moses told the Israelites, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again” (Ex. 14:13).
Joy will break forth on you like the dawn of day, as surely as the sun rises each day. You will be loosed from the debilitating circumstances and bondage you are experiencing. The death pangs will roll away, and you will be freed to sing your Redeemer’s praise. You will rejoice in the presence of your Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, and praise Him all the days of your life and into eternity.
So, weep all night, but be assured that joy is coming with the certain sunrise from the east.
Prayer:
I thank you Lord Jesus, for your grace to endure through the night of my painful struggles until your healing, life, favor, and joy break forth and embrace me for your glory. Amen!
Shalom
Glory to God.
