For Meditation

As I meditate on this promise of God to His people, Israel, I am reminded of the 1967 Six-Day war and the Yom Kippur war of 1973, in which none of the weapons the enemies of Israel deployed against them prevailed. In those wars, the Arab coalition armies of Egypt, Syria, and Jordan had vowed to annihilate the new Jewish state. However, they failed in the two wars, and Israel stands tall as a strong nation today.

It is such a joy to know that this same promise is true today for all of God’s children. “This is a heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).

When, as a believer, you believe that you are at war with the enemy and the world system, you are victorious already. For, you adorn yourselves in the armor of God (Eph. 6:10-18) and employ the weapons of the Christian’s warfare that “are not carnal, but mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds.” You cast “down arguments and every high thing that exults itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor. 10:4-5).  In this posture, you stand victorious for the glory of God (Eph. 6:13). For, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn” (Is. 54:17).

Of course, the world has fashioned all kinds of weapons against you; but none will prevail. The tongue of your enemies are flying high and low all around you in accusation; but by the faithful word of the Most High, the Omnipotent and Omniscient God, you have the power and authority to refute them all in the mighty name of Jesus (Lk. 10:19).

So, walk in your spiritual authority, my friend, and declare victory today over every circumstance that confronts you. Rejoice, giving glory to the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone deserves praise.  

You have the best Missile defense and most effective weapons of modern warfare, ever! Use it!
