Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord from the heavens;
    praise him in the heights above.

…young men and women,
    old men and children.

Let them praise the name of the Lord,
    for his name alone is exalted;
    his splendor is above the earth and the heavens (Psalms 148: 1, 12-13).

For Your Encouragement.

It is Monday, but this Monday is different.

It is the first day of February 2021. God has been so good to you. You are still alive and well.

So, praise the Lord!

The Psalmist calls all of God’s creation to praise Him—all in heavens, on earth, and in the sea.

At this call,

• Angels are praising Him.
• The sun, moon, and stars are dancing His praises.
• The sea and all the fish and magnificent creatures that team in the ocean depths swim to His praise.
• The mountains, hills, and trees are clapping to His praise.
• Animals, small creatures, and birds are singing His praises.
• Kings and rulers and princes on the earth rise in praise of Him who is Sovereign,
• The old, young, and children proclaim His praises.

How can you deny yourself this privilege on this festive occasion? How can you not rise and lift your hands in joyful praise to Jesus, your Savior, and King Eternal, who is Immortal, Invisible, yet so close in intimate fellowship?

So, rise to your feet and praise the Lord today, my brother and sister. For He alone deserves it. Bend your knees in worship of Christ Jesus, our Lord, whose name towers above every other in all creation (Phil. 2:9).

And His splendor towers above the earth and the heavens (Ps. 148:13).
