I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.
Psalm 118:17
Your Encouragement
Thank God it’s Friday! You are blessed in the Lord to be alive and well.
Whatever your experiences have been through the week, God has kept you. You cried on Him in your anguish, and He delivered you. You have known firsthand that the Lord is your companion and helper—your refuge in times of need. Your encounters have boosted your faith. Whether they were with a physical enemy, trying circumstances, or spiritual attacks, the Lord has kept you safe and well (Psa. 118:5-13). The bruises are just there to always remind you of the goodness of your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
You can therefore declare with the Psalmist this morning that the Lord is your strength and your song. He has become your salvation. Sing His praises and proclaim, with confidence, that His mighty right hand has done this for you (14-17).
With thankfulness of heart, make this prophetic declaration with the Psalmist in verse 17:
“I will not die but live,
and will proclaim what the Lord has done.”
Why?
Because:
—You have a full life to live in Christ (Jn. 10:10).
—You have a divine assignment to complete in the power of the Holy Spirit (Titus 2:11-14; Matt. 28:19-20).
—You have a testimony to give with the blood of Jesus to overcome the enemy (Rev. 12:11).
—You have a heritage to enjoy, posterity to empower, a people to bless, a nation to influence, and a world to hear your story (Psa. 119:111; 127:3; 2 Tim. 2:2).
—You are the church of God, and Christ is your Lord to glorify.
—You will not die. You will survive COVID-19.
—You will live to shout praises to the Father, in the name of Jesus, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
So, rejoice today, my friend, for Christ is on His throne.
Shalom.
Amen
